If you have purchased a pass on behalf of someone else you will need to be present for your guest to receive their pass. Beginning her international career, Kati Hernandez was chosen as a representative of Cuban dance, touring Spain for six months with Manolito Sibonet y Su Trabuco. She also toured with Cuban productions in Portugal, the Bahamas, and Costa Rica.
Kati is currently dedicated to spreading the treasures of her Afro-Cuban roots in the US. She most recently performed with master percussionists Francisco Aguabella and Lazaro Galarraga. She also performed in an extraordinary unification of Cuban music and dance in Los Angeles at the Cuban Festival, “El Padre de la Patria,” with the great musician Luis Eric Gonzalez. As a performer, choreographer, and teacher Kati is truly an illustrative vision of her heritage in an endless high-energy celebration of Cuban dance and music.
Today, Tito & Tamara are not only amazing Salsa Dancers, they also are the Directors of the San Juan City Salsa Dance Program and have choreographed routines for many artists including Víctor Manuelle, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Michael Stuart, El Gran Combo, Richie Rey y Bobby Cruz, Domingo Quiñones, Ismael Miranda, Elvis Crespo, Cheo Feliciano, Modesto Cepeda, Andy Montañez y Tego Calderón. They also choreographed for the “Bomba” and “Cha-Cha-Cha” routine in Ricky Martin’s appearance in Miss Universe 2001 and the Celia Cruz “Azúcar” Special in Miami in 2003. They’ve performed with Melina León, Yaire, Elvis Crespo, Olga Tañón.
With combined experience of over 40 years in salsa, Tito and Tamara have an impressive track record that attests not only to their exceptional and unique talents but also to their inherent love of salsa in all of its forms.
International performances and teaching gigs at dance festivals have taken him to Germany, France, Curacao, Mexico and all over the US. Wilfredo was also selected as a judge in the first annual World Latin Dance Cup with producer Albert Torres. Currently he teaches classes in San Diego and is the artistic director of La Tribu dance group.
Salsamania is one of the largest and most successful dance companies in Bay Area. Started in 2000 by John Narvaez and Liz Rojas, Salsamania has performed and competed at salsa events around the world, including the ESPN World Salsa Championships, the World Latin Dance Cup, and the US Salsa Open Championships.
Salsamania has a large number of performance and competition teams including an Amateur Team, Semi-Pro Team, Pro Team, Ladies Team, and On1 Dance Team. Salsamania also has a number of On1 and On2 training teams, and teaches lessons at a number of venues around the Bay Area.
Multiple time champions in multiple divisions, their workshops and performances are not to be missed!
Originally from Guantanamo, Cuba, Royland is a founding member of the Havana-based dance company, 7 Potencias, an Afro-Cuban Folkloric dance and music ensemble that is considered one of the most creative and acclaimed Cuban folkloric ensembles both in Cuba and internationally.
Presently, Royland is proud to call the Bay Area his home as he teaches his Cuban heritage to students through his weekly classes, workshops and demonstrations. He is also one of the few instructors to incorporate live music into his teachings.
